Here at Malloy Law Offices, we’re proud to take an active role in our regional community. The Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia area is not just our firm’s place of business. It’s a home to our dedicated staff and their families. Though to many people, “family” means more than just biological relatives and dear friends. Some count their pets as members of their family as much as any human. We here at Malloy Law are proud to support the cause of animal welfare in our area. As part of our growing commitment to community involvement, we’re honored to support Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. This past Thursday, our friends at Lucky Dog brought three of their adorable furry friends to Malloy Law Offices headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. Read on for the full report on our recent pet adoption event.
On the afternoon of Thursday, February 13th, 2025, Malloy Law Offices welcomed a trio of dogs seeking forever homes into our Bethesda offices. Leo, age 1 and a half, Katniss, 11 months, and Cookie, 11 weeks, all quickly ingratiated themselves with our staff and seemed to thoroughly enjoy exploring our offices, relieving the stress of the workweek among our hardworking staff and bringing smiles to all present. Medical research has shown that interaction with dogs can lower human stress hormones. While we’re not physicians, we can certainly say we felt the positive effects of spending time with man’s best friend.
We were also pleased to welcome some visitors from the local business community for the pet adoption event. In particular, we were pleased that some of our office neighbors were able to join in the fun.
Malloy Law Offices’ founder and managing partner Seann Malloy had this to say:
“We’re excited to be involved with such a great organization and such a great cause. Just knowing that we could help these dogs find homes is a really great feeling.”
All dogs deserve the love, care, and stability of a forever home. However, we here at Malloy Law are unfortunately all too familiar with the potential consequences of irresponsible dog ownership. People who fail to socialize, train, and restrain their dogs can open their neighbors up to risk of injury from dog bites. This can open themselves up to risk of a personal injury lawsuit, and potentially endanger the life of their furry friend. You owe it to yourself, your community, and most of all your pet to ensure that they’re well trained and well-looked after, especially once fully grown.
We understand that this type of content represents a departure from what habitual readers of this blog expect. However, as we become more involved in community affairs and strengthen our commitment to supporting organizations doing good work in our region, we hope to provide more community updates to our readers. We’re already very proud to collaborate with our friends at DC United soccer club and our new friends at Lucky Dog. If you are aware of an organization whose work you feel benefits our community, why not reach out to Malloy Law Offices on social media? We’re always looking for new opportunities to give back in the DMV.
